La asociación acoge a 2.400 bertsolaris y aficionados al bertsolarismo. Se trata de una asociación sociocultural sin ánimo de lucro cuyo objetivo es la promoción del bertsolarismo. Trabaja y desarrolla diferentes aspectos y campos del bertsolarismo en los que el trabajo profesional y el voluntario se unen de manera imprescindible. Esa es la filosofía de la asociación y así se refleja en sus proyectos y objetivos anuales. [FR] L'Association des Amis du Bertsolarisme a été créée en 1987, avec l'intention de garantir le futur et la transmission d'une grande partie du patrimoine intangible de la culture basque : le bertsolarisme. L'association regroupe 2.400 bertsolaris et amateurs du bertsolarisme. Il s'agit d'une association socio-culturelle sans but lucratif dont l'objectif est la promotion du bertsolarisme. Le travail professionnel s’unit avec l’indispensable collaboration des volontaires afin de développer différents aspects et domaines du bertsolarisme. La philosophie de l'association se reflète dans cet union ainsi que dans ses projets et objectifs annuels. [EN] The Association of the Friends of Bertsolaritza was formed in 1987 with the intention of guaranteeing the future and the transmission of a great part of that intangible Basque culture known as bertsolaritza. It brings together some one 2,400 bertsolaris and aficionados of bertsolaritza. It is a non-profit-making sociocultural association the aim of which is to promote the improvised sung verse art form known as bertsolaritza. It works in various aspects of bertsolaritza in which the work of both professionals and voluntary workers is invaluable. This is the philosophy of the association and this is reflected in its projects and through its objectives set out annually.
